Whom do we serve?

In this section, leave us your ideas of who some of the typical people are that our mission should be directed toward.

Of course, we seek to reach anyone possible with the Gospel. Yet, with our resources and opportunity we cannot easily reach everyone on earth. For that, we have the Cooperative Program of the SBC, where $ along with thousands of other churches to reach the nation and world. So, it is good to focus on groups in our "sphere of influence." Knowing this will help us develop our mission statement.

We serve the people of Pooville but by talking to people at work and talking to friends putting people that we care about and love on the pray list we serve the world.

We do serve both the Poolville area and the world. Let's face it; we go all over the place. We see people individually at work, and together as families at school and in the community. Our church goes wherever we go, and people know our church by their perception of us. No pressure there!

Do we gear towards an older audience, or do we gear towards a younger audience, or do we seek to reach a blend of those? Do we gear towards the local community, which we haven't been as successful at reaching at times, or do we aim at a wider audience? I guess this whole "Whom do we serve?" part could also be phrased, "What size and shape of a net do we need to cast out?" The answer will shape the mission and vision statements, and everything that follows.

The community of Poolville and surrounding area is full of different groups of people. To find out whom we serve and invite people to church we need to meet the people around here. Work, school, store, community events, etc.
